Tweddell Investment Management February 2007 I am pleased to tell you that Steven T. Goldberg and I have become partners: We have formed Tweddell Goldberg Investment Management LLC. I have been providing fee-only investment management and consulting to individuals since 1991. That will not change. Steve is providing similar services to his clients from his office in Silver Spring, Maryland. Steve, author of But Which Mutual Funds?, has been writing about mutual funds for more than 15 years, the last five as a senior associate editor of Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine. He has also written the Value Added column on the Kiplinger.com website. He will continue to write his weekly column. Most of you have received recent Value Added columns from me. Steve and I met seven years ago when he interviewed me for an article. We have kept in touch and our friendship has grown. We have found through the years that we share many of the same views about mutual fund investing and the mutual fund industry. More importantly, we believe that serving individual investors well–in a world where they often get shabby treatment–is a high calling. What Steve brings to our partnership is his first-hand knowledge of many of the best funds in the country. As a financial writer, he has access to most of the country’s fund managers. In any calendar quarter he interviews more managers than most brokers and advisors do in a lifetime. What I contribute is fifteen years of experience working with clients, managing their money and navigating the administrative and regulatory maze that has become more challenging every year. Our partnership helps all our clients: We swap ideas, concerns and opinions daily and our collaboration strengthens our analysis and conclusions.
